Majored in Piano, Mr Maeda graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music in 1987.
Came first in the MYNA completion Northwest division
andThe World Federation of International Music Competitions in 1990.
Participated in the 12th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
He then went on to complete his Master’s degree in Piano study at the University of Washington in 1991. He then became a special piano instructor at Yamaha Music Foundation. He worked as a professor at Seirei Women’s Junior College from 1995 to 2001 as a specialist in piano.
He has held solo-concerts at the Atrion Music Hall 13 times and continues to hold concerts in Akita and Tokyo. He was also given the Akita City Culture Encouragement award in 2016.
He mesmerizes the audience with his unique and soulful melodies.

AIU Kaneto team was founded supported by the neighborhood Kaneto team and corporate Kaneto team in 2005, on the second year of AIU’s establishment. AIU Kanto team has a diverse community and the members of the team include students from Akita prefecture, students from all over Japan and students from overseas. The team aims to pass on the tradition and promote Akita-Kanto by joining the festival held in August and many other events.
In addition, they have perform led not only in Japan, but also abroad such as the United States and Russia.
